MingMing Team ("we", "us", or "our") operates the PressureBite mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this privacy policy carefully. By using PressureBite, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We are a fishing companion tool that helps you monitor barometric pressure, weather trends, and log your fishing trips. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for personal contact details. The data we handle is primarily related to your app preferences, saved locations, and fishing logs.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) unless you voluntarily provide it. PressureBite is designed to work without registration. The types of information we may process include:

• Location Data (optional): With your permission, we may access your approximate or precise location to show local pressure and weather data. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. We do not store your location history on our servers.
• Saved Locations: If you choose to save fishing spots (e.g., "Lake Michigan", "Secret Pond"), these are stored locally on your device. If you enable cloud sync (when available), they may be stored on our secure servers to sync across your devices.
• Fishing Logs & Snapshots: When you record a trip, we save the weather and pressure snapshot you captured. These logs are stored locally on your device and, if you opt into sync, may be stored on our servers.
• Usage & Device Information: We may collect anonymous, aggregated data such as app version, device type, operating system, and interaction events (e.g., button taps) to improve the App. This data cannot be used to identify you.
• Notifications: If you enable pressure change alerts, we use a device token to send push notifications. You can turn this off at any time.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features (pressure trends, fishing suitability, logs).
• Improve, personalize, and expand the App’s functionality and user experience.
• Understand and analyze how you use the App to develop new features and services.
• Communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, and support messages (only if you contact us).
• Send optional push notifications about pressure changes, based on your preferences.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we handle. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

• Local storage: Most of your data (saved spots, logs, preferences) is stored directly on your device. You can delete this data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing app data.
• Cloud sync (optional): If you enable sync, your logs and saved locations are transmitted using encryption (TLS/SSL) and stored on secure servers. We retain this data only as long as you use the sync feature. You may request deletion of your synced data by contacting us (see Section 8).
• No account required: Because we do not require an account, we cannot link your data to a personal identity unless you explicitly provide an email for support purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

PressureBite may use third-party APIs and services to provide weather and pressure data. These services may receive your approximate location (only if you grant permission) to return accurate data. We do not control these third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

• Weather Data Providers: We use trusted weather APIs (e.g., OpenWeather, Apple WeatherKit) to fetch barometric pressure and forecast data. These providers may receive your coarse location.
• Analytics: We may use privacy-focused analytics (e.g., Firebase Analytics with IP anonymization) to collect aggregated usage statistics. No personal identifiers are stored.
• Push Notifications: We use Apple Push Notification service (APNs) or Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver optional alerts. Your device token is used solely for this purpose.

5. Your Choices & Rights

You have control over your data:

• Location permissions: Enable or disable in your device settings.
• Notifications: Turn off pressure alerts in the App settings or device settings.
• Delete local data: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored logs, saved spots, and preferences.
• Delete synced data: If you have used cloud sync and wish to delete your synced logs/locations, contact us at the email below. Since we do not maintain user accounts, we may ask for a device identifier or approximate sync time to locate your data.
• Access & portability: You may request a copy of the data we store about you (if any). We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Children's Privacy

PressureBite does not address anyone under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take steps to delete it.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes are effective when they are posted.

Continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes your acknowledgement of the modified policy and your consent to abide by it.
